Born on September 17th , 1950 at Vadnagar, a small town in Mehsana district of North Gujarat, Shri Narendra Modi grew up in a culture that instilled in him the values of generosity, benevolence and social service. During the India-Pak war in the mid sixties, even as a young boy, he volunteered to serve the soldiers in transit at railway stations. In 1967, he served the flood affected people of Gujarat. Endowed with excellent organizational capability and a rich insight into human psychology, he served in (ABVP) .
A man known for proven organisational abilities and strategic planning, Amit Shah is a politician of the hinterland with a distinguished political record and commitment for the ideals he stands for. Born on October 22, 1964, politics was not in Shri Amit Shah’s blood. Instead, it was the desire to serve the society that was passed on to Shri Amit Shah by his philanthropist family. At a tender age of 14, Shri Amit Shah joined the Rashtriya Syawamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a ‘Tarun Syawamsevak’. That was the turning point of his life.
Member Of Parliament And National President of BJYM
Poonam Mahajan is the National President of Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha, Member of Parliament from Mumbai’s North Central constituency and the President of the Basketball Federation of India. She has been described by many as dynamic, astute, passionate, hard working and dedicated. Striking a sound balance between her role as a Member of Parliament, BJYM National President, her work with NGOs and taking care of her family, she epitomizes the progressive Indian woman of the 21st century.
Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) was formed in 1978. Its first national president was Shri Kalraj Mishra. After reorganization of Bharatiya Jan Sangh in the form of BJP, BJYM is working as its youth wing. BJYM has organizational structure similar to that of BJP. Many prominent leaders such as Shri Rajnath Singh, Late Shri Pramod Mahajan and Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan served as national presidents of BJYM in the past. BJYM believes in all core ideologies of the BJP.
